Just stopping in to say HI!!

Brenda

Forgiveness is not something we do for other people. We do it for ourselves-to get well and move on.

hello

you all the reader know how iam disabled.

but do you see areas of strength and potential, developed potential that iam missing??

if you were me how would you approach my life differently??

my routine is to lament all day long my disabilities, the worlds problems.

i write here all the time as i have for the past five years if ive been off here a total of two weeks during that entire time that would be alot.

im here to remove myself from the realities of life. even if i talk about them incessently here.

i get incredibly hyper ,paranoid with extreme anxiety when i go out.

my heart and lungs are weak. i said id go excersizing and i would love to got to the gym near my house. but i get alot of sexual thoughts that bother me and the sheer amount of noise and people, is too much for me..

i used to go for twenty mile hikes but that was over 20 years ago.
i still have the energy and mind set ,know how for very intesinsive
very demanding long hours of labor.

but i have very bad internal hemmroids and i think im developing or have had bladder and prostate issues.

my backs cushioning is almost all worn way from a life of a extremely hyperactive life constantly in motion, i have to move to think, i have to move because i have phobias pertaining to sexual situtations and intamacy not sure if they are all phobias or just defense mechanism to keep me from acting innappropriately and being beat up, rejected socially, sexually, and to keep myself acting within a range of whats consitantly the average norm for the surroundings ,cultures iam currently in.

i use my disability or abilities or both ,both as each other to wrap myself up in thought and movement to escape , i regress and get thick headed, and i fullout battle mode ,triathelon mode, i can do the marine cores crucible easy when im in that kind of thought process.

so im tough ,determined, diciplined. but iam lonely . i hate myself often and sometimes i long for the day when nature calls me home like a deer in the back woods just lays down and dies ashes to ashes dust to dust theres, more beer for us. !!! give us you loot you grouchy old coot !!! lol

Hi Stigs! I would suggest getting your body into
motion but I urge EXTREME CAUTION with your weight and
health issues. Please consult a good, competant doctor
who is knowledgable with weight issues. I think
making changes now regarding your health are critical
for you to achieve your goals. I will sign up to be
your motivational coach. Try to begin by cutting out
or down on fast foods. At the same time incorporate
healthy food choices like fruits and veggies and
whole grains. Choose water and immediately stop
drinking all soda, including diet soda, and alcohol, if
you can. Then to get your body in motion you might
begin with short daily walks, even if it's a couple blocks,
and up and down some stairs. I think it is a must for
you to be monitored frequently, regarding heart rate
and blood pressure.

I care about you very much and I feel that once you
feel better and your body is in better shape, then
you will be more focused on your long term goals.
Please post your thoughts about my suggestions. I
may not get back online for a week but I will check
in with you then, I promise.

Your mind is very strong. Now it's time to get your
'Stigs' back on!

ps>>>>>>Do not be discouraged and give up if you
have setbacks. Just pick yourself back up and
proceed forward, never back!

pss>>>>>>I have lost 20 pounds which is not alot but
I feel alot better.

psss>>>>>Having a daily plan for calorie intake is
helpful. You can begin by keeping an honest food diary
for a couple weeks. This helped me make smart
changes to my diet.

Phobias and defence mechanisms are both normal.
Lots of people are worried about rejection and the possible violence around them.

I think it's easy to attribute the things we feel to the mental problems we have, but remember that they are normal problems, we "just" have them to the point where it gets in the way of living.

And the line between Normal and Ill is not is not like the difference between a plant and a rock, for example. If you're not familiar already, look up "average" and "normal curve" or "bell curve"

IMO you are overestimating the importance of what people think, or culture. There are so many cultures living togeter. And alot of people stick to their own culture. No matter who you are or what you do, there are always people who hate others based on their difference.

F*** 'em.

thanks guys

thank you rainbow fish

today i have had two hostess twinkies, and 3 cups of coffee, one bottle of poland springs water.

i passed on the banana i take for potasium .
my heart and lungs feel better when i eat one.

i had several twinkies , two bite sized coffee cakes for dinner with water

cooking and directions must be broken down into very small, intricate half steps and be very explicit. i tire very easily, and get frustrated and angry because my learning disabilities etc make it very very hard to cook, . preparation must be simple, easy or no clean up. prepacked food like military mre's, and other non salty foods are great [where to buy] intstant foods. microwave cooking is good because i might forget the stoves on .

regular meal times are important STRUCTURE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANt. because i have severe adhd, adhd like symptoms ,schizoaffective disorder.

the executive functions of my brain are shot, attention, conscentration, memoery, tangentail thinking, convolouted thinking, organizational ,energy levals are unpredichtable

so i have to address those issues. as well my biological precepts of time are damaged hours can go by or even months and i wont realize it sometimes. this causes me great anxiety

im looking for a new home .
i would like to live in the country . on or near active farms and ranches.
i would like to be active in the churches efforts to help others.
i would like to settle down.

iam not lazy, iam not dumb, iam not a creep, iam not a bum i want to function independently. but i will need continuous multi disciplinary and intensive rehabilitation services tailored to my unique needs and life prefferences, as an individual some rigid structure and some loose knit. iam deeply emotionally scarred . i have to suck it up.

people say what do you mean tailored to you as an indivudual etc. who do you think you are king george?? no iam a 48 year old man who wants to contribute to society, i want to take care of myself and learnlove, be loved, live a full productive life , with work, fun, and socialization and i want to be able to self actualize. i want to be a giver not a taker and iam a consumer . self advocate . all my life the mental health, special ed etc communities have for the most part failed me at worst damaged me.

i have learning disabilities, adhd and more . but i do not want to be defined nor have these conditions define or limit who i can be or what i can accomplish.

im looking for a new home .
i would like to live in the country . on or near active farms and ranches.

Hi Stig...

Thought I would stop by and perhaps see if I could offer some advice. Please just listen and try to take it in, it is just my opinions, but perhaps I have something of value for you.

first...your health and your weight. I suggest avoid processed foods, they will kill you. That means twinkies. I understand that you like simple...might I suggest nutrisystem. Everything is organized, structured, simple. Very simple and you can heat or not heat...it is just 4 meals a day (including snacks) and you can add fruit and veggies as you like. You will lose weight and it is SIMPLE. Price: $400 max a month. That sounds high..it is not, you eat that much already...and it may be cheaper. Consider it.

second: exercise...try visiting gym or getting out at off hours. You stay up at weird hours anyway...and there are no people at the gym at off hours...either late at night, mid day or the like..just ask for the empty hours for your particular gym.
Like Rainbow said: drink water or coffee....avoid soda.

As for your other needs, I can understand your limitations to the degree that you express them. Just be yourself and don't worry so much about what others think. Honestly, I think you obsess a bit on what others will think. I don't think you are a sexually inappropriate person...maybe you just feel guilty that you feel sexual. Just masterbate once or twice a day and you will feel better. Any man would feel sexual in your situation. Hard exercise also dampens sexual urges...so try that.

You are a great guy. Honestly. If I could pick one thing that would change you the most, it would be to open up to others. Talk to people, and get yourself use to others. Maybe you feel like you would be rejected...well, that requires understanding. Could you perhaps find out a local place where people with disabilities hang out. If you asked one person or two near you, just to put up with you as you got use to being around others, it would do wonders for you. I feel like you hide out because of the ADHD and anxiety. You are on medication for these things...why not try something new.

You constantly ask for the same things. If you want something to change you must change something about you. A physician friend told me this recently.

My life is not easy either, we all have our hangups and problems...but honestly, we have to make a plan and just do it. A year ago or so, Searche would never go out of his house except for work. Never...I told him to get out...no matter what...and talk. He did this slowly and he has evolved greatly.

Please try this. I offered to talk with you. To let you get use to the idea that people will listen. You declined. It is up to you to be what you want and need. Please try something new. If not with me, someone.

Just a few thoughts. I will wait for your reply.

Jody

well . i called the mental health clinic to apply for a case manager.theres the application process. and it takes 30- 40 days to get one.

the law says i have rights to these things and its what our tax dollers and such pay for.

i dont want the services or supports i get. I HATE IT. but iam disabled etc and cant work and need help to live independently verses live dependent on others. i really really hate being so. . so now that thats clear.

i hope that iam not making a mistake by getting a case manager.
