Dear Members,

If you have been treated with olanzapine (Zyprexa) for your Bipolar I Disorder, on the basis of your experience:
  • Would you recommend olanzapine to other members for the treatment of their depressive episodes of Bipolar I Disorder?


  • Would you recommend olanzapine to other members for the treatment of their manic episodes of Bipolar I Disorder?


  • How much did one month's supply of olanzapine cost?

While Zyprexa controlled my acute manic symptoms, I would not recommend it because I gained 100 lbs (45 Kilograms) in 1.5 years. Also, I feel that it increased my depression, as I was lethargic and apathetic while taking it.

Zyprexa cost me with private insurance, 100 American dollars/month (68 Euro, 98 Canadian dollar.)
