I need help. I am trying to be patient, but it is not happening. On lamictal until I finally ended up not being able to walk because of fluid retention and muscle burning, balance difficulties, sleep problems, vocabulary problems, and many many other really bad side effects. I am truly happy for those that have success with this medicine, but not me.
I am an athlete and I thought I had really overdone it, stopped exercising....screamed hormone imbalance everything. I ending up in the ER for muscle spasms, cramps, and pain, after not exercising for 3 months and no relief. Now I am off lamictal for 2 weeks. The pain is a little better, but not happening fast. The half life is considered high, leaving the blood after 5-7 days. But that does not mean that it is out in the tissues, per manufacturer! They do not know how long that will take, oh really, what else!!! Fluid is abating slowly. I just need to know how to stand this slow recovery. How can I speed this up? Has anyone else had these side effects that can shed insight or encouragement?
I am on 200 mg. I have horrible hip problems. And it cause of lamictal. Now I have come to notice my hai is rapidly falling out. An I see my hair line thinning. I'm so so so upset. I don't know how to cope. I had a thick full head o hair. I thought since I had a baby 4 months ago it was the hormones doing it. Cause after you have a baby it does that. Well I see its not that! If you had this experience. Please tell me
