Greetings and salutations- I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 33 yrs old, and I am schizoaffective-bipolar type. I enjoy music, books, cooking, the outdoors, and of course-my beagle-the flying hound. |

Time to do maintenance on my profile/membership. The doctor confirms it-I am Bipolar 1 .I feel real good about that, I guess, no more second guessing the psychosis bit, right-wrong. Still have to take an antipsychotic w/my mood stabilizer(s). Since I'll stick around awhile, a little more about me... I live in the farthest reaches of Minnesota. It gets cold here-you Canadians know about cold. I do love to cook, and EAT!!!I still have my beagle-he's an mess, tears up everything in his path. I am 33, male, volunteer my time. Musicwise I am into everything right now, 311, Seether, Gorillaz, Nirvana(always),for my depressed days I usually play Roy Orbison/country music over and over-manic days it's on Paul Oakenfold LOUD!!! |

Hi Flying Hound
Glad that you got the diagnosis down to Bipolar 1. I must say that in your past posts I wondered about that, simply as my psychiatrist is not big into the labels. He hasn't classified my bipolar, although I suspect it's 2. He has said that schizoaffective is a label used when they are not sure what is going on - some psychotic features, some affective features, but not enough to know which label to stick on. As you know, bipolar 1 often has psychotic manifestations. That should help you for future treatment. Good luck!
