Hi Lynn,Apologies for the facial expressions on the Mood Calendar faces.
These facial expressions were selected to represent the actual mood. Research has shown that these facial expressions (e.g., depressed, anxious, etc.) are universally recognized as representing these moods. That is, a "depressed" facial expression is the same world-wide.
Previously, we tried using playing cards to represent these moods (but that failed). In our more elaborate Mood Calendar (which we call our "Progress Calendar"), there are multiple "problem cards" displayed per day. Thus a person could have both the "anxious" and the "depressed" card shown for the same day. Thus we had to have these cards look different. There is an example of this "Progess Calendar" displayed above this post.
It would be great to have a female "mood card" for our female members. We will try to see what we can do to find female pictures.
Mark and I are very pleased that our members are using this Mood Calendar. We are about to add a "Social Network Calendar" to our Mood Calendar. This "Social Network Calendar" will graph the changes in your social network over time. We think it will be really neat.
We really appreciate your feedback on how we can improve these Calendars.
