After the Jaguars fired general manager Dave Caldwell back in Novemberthey decided to hold on to Marrone and up to now, the group hasn't offered many hints about whether they intend to keep him around for 2021. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has reported that when the group does proceed from Marrone, they're going to provide some serious thought to hiring former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. According to NFL.com, the Jags are"probably" likely to dump Marrone, however they won't make a decision until after the year is finished. If Marrone gets axed, Meyer and current OSU coach Ryan Day will get considered for the open Jaguars job. One thing to keep in mind about this project is that it is one of the most attractive in the NFL. Not only is Jacksonville sitting on the very first overall pick in the 2021 draft, but the Jags also have loads of cap room to work with for next season, so a new coach -- along with also a brand new GM -- can get things turned out pretty quickly.
Although Lynn led this team into the playoffs in 2018, the past two seasons have not been kind to the Chargers head coach. Not only is that he 11-20 because the onset of the 2019 season, but the Chargers have also had the most one-score declines over that span and many those have come due to suspicious end-of-game coaching. Lynn has also been made to coach a team that has been ravaged by injuries since players that were recorded as projected starters on opening day have missed a total of 109 combined games.
Although the Bengals are expected to create multiple changes to their coaching staff this offseason, Taylor won't be one of them. Not only does when he's a close relationship with Joe Burrow, but he has a win over the Steelers under his belt, which means a whole lot in Cincinnati. Basically, Taylor is definitely going to have at least one year to figure things out.
Regardless of an ugly season, Pederson is expected to keep his job. According to ESPN.com, Pederson is will meet with Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie on Tuesday and through this meeting, they'll talk about their vision for 2021. Among the principal issues will probably be Carson Wentz, that seemingly doesn't want to be in Philadelphia anymore. ESPN has reported that Wentz has demanded a trade and a big reason for this is a result of his fracture Id relationship with Pederson.
