Jackie, my wife suffers from depression and she took an overdose on Friday night, the third time since we've met. It seemed more a cry for help than actual suicide, but still its worrying, how can I help her not do this again and feel better? and how can she help herself

I really don't understand depression Jonathan . I think only those who go through it truely understand but I will say just be there for her and support her into getting help for her mental health.
Hopefully someone here who has depression can add their advice.
I personally find listening to Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel's 'Don't Give up' very helpful in combating suicide ideation. I've listened to the song incessantly in the past and still do and found that has stopped me from overdosing many a time. I also find the anti depressant medication helpful too, but you're already on that.
