When I went into hospital, for the first time. This drug was the first one they had tried on me. It was terrible, I could barely stand and as for walking it was impossible. I found it difficult to think of what I was trying to say. My fine motor skills were non existent. It was a great relief to go onto Lithium. I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone, going by my experience. But I know other people find it beneficial. So it could just be my physiological/psychological make up that caused the problem. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Sarah P.S. The hair loss side of things didn't endear me to it either!
And I'll feel my world crumbling I'll feel my life crumbling I'll feel my soul crumbling away And falling away Falling away with you. "Falling away with you" by Muse.
I take 500mg doses and it's the only medication I have that seems to be good and not have bad side affects that I know about. I used to get constant headaches but now I never get headaches. My mania isn't real bad like it used to be. I don't stay up for days on end or have to have signs that tell me to eat.
Noisette, I'm sorry it didn't help you and I hope you find something that can make your life better.
